Must reside in King County, Washington
Description:
The King County Solid Waste Division is currently inviting qualified and engaged individuals to apply for the Grant Evaluation Committee for the Re+ Seed Grant Powered by NextCycle Washington.
As a committee member, you will play a vital role in reviewing and assessing grant applications to ensure funding is directed toward projects that align with our mission—advancing King County's circular economy and delivering meaningful community impact.
Committee Responsibilities Include:
• Attend all meetings, including the virtual orientation and award recommendation discussion
• Read, score, and write comments for grant applications
• Complete evaluations in Foundant, SWD’s online grants portal
• Adhere to the committee schedule and deadlines
Estimated Time Commitment: 13-20 hours
Individual Review Period: September 26th – October 17th, 2025 (estimated 10-15 hours) – Application Review and Scoring
Meeting Dates:
• Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 – Time TBD (1 hour) – Review Committee Meeting #1: Orientation
• Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 – Time TBD (1 hour) – Review Committee Meeting #2: Anti-Bias Training
• Friday, October 17th, 2025 – Time TBD (1 hour) – Review Committee Meeting #3: Team Selection Meeting
Qualifications:
• Familiarity with circular economy (i.e. compost, reuse, repair, waste reduction activities) is preferred
• Must reside in King County, Washington
