NextCycle Washington has supported innovators, entrepreneurs, and organizations working to build stronger recycling and materials management systems across Washington State. Through the Circular Accelerator and Seed Grant programs, teams receive funding, coaching, and connections to move their ideas from concept to implementation.
This dashboard tracks the cumulative impact of those investments — where teams are located, what materials they're working on, and the progress they're making toward a more circular economy in Washington.

This map shows investments made through NextCycle Washington's Circular Accelerator and Seed Grant programs since founding. Teams shown are alumni and grant recipients who have consented to being featured; additional projects are not shown for privacy reasons.
In the map below, we identified two levels of overburdened communities: Highly Overburdened and Overburdened. These designations come from the Washington Environmental Health Disparities Map, an interactive tool from the Washington State Department of Health that compares communities using census tracts, small, relatively permanent geographic subdivisions within counties. Highly Overburdened communities face the most concentrated combination of disparities statewide, while Overburdened communities face significant, though comparatively less concentrated, disparities. Together, these designations help us identify where to place more attention and resources. The map guides us toward the communities and alumni networks that need more financial support and partnership, offering insight into the priorities we should address first.
