Tribal Solid Waste Advisory Network (Cohort 2) wins $1.5M in EPA funding
NexctCycle Washington Cohort 2 alum Tribal Solid Waste Advisory Network (TSWAN) has been awarded $1.5 million through the EPA's Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) grant program, one of nine Tribal entities funded across Alaska, Idaho, and Washington. The funding builds on the hub-and-spoke recycling pilot TSWAN developed in NextCycle Washington, and will go toward setting up small recycling centers for four rural tribes, purchasing equipment, hiring recycling staff, and expanding composting.
