Committee Roles
Applicants must reside in King County to be eligible
Description:
NextCycle Washington (NCWA) is a circular economy accelerator and grant program focused on supporting businesses and nonprofit projects. NCWA programs are rooted in practicing co-design and equitable governance structures. We are launching a pilot for the Mini-Grant Program to lower barriers for applicants to participate in the circular economy through starting or advancing their own business or nonprofit project.
To support the pilot, NCWA is assembling a committee to help co-design the Mini-Grant program. NCWA would like to invite those who are based in King County to apply. You will serve alongside representatives who are subject matter experts, NCWA alumni, community members, and funders.
Responsibilities:
• Commit to a one-year term as a Co-Designer for the NCWA Mini-Grant (pilot): meeting bi-monthly (i.e. twice a month) to start, then monthly
• Available for 20-30 total hours
• Opportunities are available for 20 additional hours dedicated to subcommittee roles focused on specific grant program design work
• Commitment to peer learning and engaging your community/network with the work of the NCWA pilot
Requirements:
• Must reside in King County, Washington
• Understanding of circular economy is a plus, but not required
• No design or co-design experience is necessary
