Support Roles

Help govern the NextCycle Washington program, specifically focusing on co-design, success metrics, and priorities.

• Up to 20 hours from Sept 2023-June 2024 with optional year extension

• Opportunities for up to 20 additional hours in subcommittee roles

Responsibilities:

• Outreach to teams and applicants

• Coalition building

• Strategy support

• Bi-monthly governance meetings at first, than quarterly

• Expanding program awareness

Qualifications:

• You have business and/or community economic development experience

• Familiarity with circular economy (i.e. compost, reuse, repair, waste reduction activities) is helpful but not required

Help recruit and support NextCycle Washington Accelerator applicants from communities across Washington State.

• Nov 2023 - Jan 2024 (estimated)

• Up to 10-15 hours / application cycle

• Commitment of one selection cycle. May be extended to future selection cycles with mutual agreement.

Responsibilities:

• Outreach and recruitment of applicants and teams

• Mentoring applicant teams

• Attending application workshop parties to help support applicants

• Expanding program awareness

Qualifications:

• Experience with business and/or community economic development

• Familiarity with circular economy (i.e. compost, reuse, repair, waste reduction activities) is helpful but not required

Help review applications with other reviewers to help select which teams should be awarded entrance into the NextCycle Washington Accelerator Program.

• Jan 2024 - March 2024 (estimate)

• Up to 15 hours / selection cycle

• Commitment to at least one selection cycle. May be extended to future selection cycles with mutual agreement

Responsibilities:

• Review of accelerator applications

• Attend meetings vote on applications to recommend for selection

• Expanding program awareness

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with circular economy (i.e. compost, reuse, repair, waste reduction activities) is required

Help support and mentor teams in the NextCycle Accelerator program to gain the skills and network needed to advance Washington’s Circular Economy.

• Up to 10 hours / cohort

• Commitment of one cohort (estimated March 2024 to Sept 2024). May be extended to future cohort(s) with mutual agreement.

Responsibilities:

• Help mentor NextCycle teams through 1 on 1 support and/or participation in workshops

• Help build team skills, networks, and success

• Expanding program awareness

Qualifications:

• Experience with business and/or community economic development experience

• Familiarity with circular economy (i.e. compost, reuse, repair, waste reduction activities) is helpful but not required
