  • There is NO FEE to apply for or participate in NextCycle Washington. Additionally, one of the ways that makes this accelerator different is NO EQUITY SHARE is required to participate., Your time, effort and commitment are the only things required to make this experience a success.

  • The NextCycle Washington budget allows for a maximum of10 teams in the upcoming cohort.

  • The following is the tentative timeline for Cohort 2:

    December 1, 2023: Application Period Opens

    December 5, 2023: Application Launch Party

    January 11, 2024: Application Party #2

    January 26, 2024: Application Period Closes

    February 2024: Teams Selected and Notified

    March 2024: Track Programming Begins

    April 2024: Accelerator Academy

    September 2024: Pitch Showcase

  • Participants must be committed to engaging in the entire circular accelerator experience for approximately 40-60 hours over the six-month program period. This includes, at a minimum:

    One-hour, virtual/online monthly meetings over the six-month program period.

    Participation in a 2-day Accelerator Academy – Currently this is planned as an in-person event in April 2024 that will be centrally located based on the locations of selected teams.

    Engagement in one-on-one consulting activities. These activities can be in-person or virtual/online.

    Preparation and participation in the pitch showcase – Currently the Showcase is planned as an in-person event in August or September 2024.

    Applicants selected for the Accelerator will be asked to sign a release giving NextCycle Washington permission to use the project title, team members’ names, bios and headshots, brief organizational and project descriptions, project photos, and logo(s) for communications and promotional purposes.

  • The NextCycle Washington Accelerator – Cohort 2 program does NOT provide grants or guarantee funding or investment. However, part of the program is to help identify potential funding pathways for projects, while assisting them to develop a value proposition and project plan that can attract funding.

  • The application period opens December 1, 2023, and closes January 26, 2024. All applications must be submitted through the online portal by 5:00 p.m. on January 26, 2024, to be considered for participation.

  • NextCycle Washington will attempt to support additional language needs. Please reach out to the NextCycle Washington team for support.

  • You do NOT need to be a registered business or nonprofit, however, you must be able to demonstrate that you have some existing progress towards your project plan. Early ideas without any research, validation or other traction are not considered eligible. Reach out to the NextCycle Washington team for further clarification.
